- “Company” Definition: The term “Company” refers to VRL Packers and Movers.
- “Quotation” or “Estimate” Definition: “Quotation” or “Estimate” refers to a no-obligation contract between the Company and the Customer, based on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
- “Customer” Definition: “Customer” refers to the person who contracts with the Company for Services, regardless of whether they own the Goods or Fixtures.
- “Goods” Definition: “Goods” refers to the items for which Relocation Services are provided, excluding the following:
- Coins, cash, bank notes, cheques, money orders, postal orders, national saving certificates, premium bonds, travel tickets, passport, securities, manuscripts, documents, jewelry, perishable goods, hazardous materials (e.g., crackers, explosives, chemicals, filled gas cylinders, battery acids, inflammable oils like diesel, petrol, kerosene).
- Handyman Services: The Company accepts no responsibility for the dismantling or reassembling of particle board furniture, special furniture, or air conditioners. Customers should arrange Handyman Services in advance for such items.
- Vehicle Shifting: For vehicle relocation, the following must be provided:
- A copy of relevant documents in the name of the transferee, or approval from the Company to move in a different name.
- Vehicles must have approximately 10-15 liters of fuel for loading/unloading.
- Two-wheelers: The fuel tank/oil must be emptied to prevent spillage or leakage during transit.
- Business Hours: Services are provided during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday, excluding public holidays). 24-hour packers and movers services are available in Pune by calling 07304097593.
- Quotation Validity: Any quotation or estimate is valid for 15 days from submission and will be deemed withdrawn after this period.
- Binding Agreement: Once accepted, the quotation and all terms become legally binding. The Company will determine how the Services are provided and may adjust terms with mutual agreement, subject to additional charges.
- Cancellation: If the Customer cancels the contract, the deposit or confirmation advance is forfeited and non-refundable.
- Access to Premises: The Customer must ensure adequate access to the relevant premises for service delivery. If access is restricted, additional fees may apply, or the Customer can make their own arrangements.
- Exclusions in Relocation Services: The Company excludes the following services:
- Split or multiple pickups and/or deliveries.
- Plant removals or crating of items not specified in the quotation.
- Long carry, society/elevator charges, and parking charges.
- Vehicle detention, storage in transit, force majeure situations, and government taxes (e.g., Octroi, Mathadi, Toll, Entry Tax, Labor Union Charges).
- Collection or delivery using stairs above the 2nd floor (if no service lift is provided).
- Special handling charges for items that cannot be accessed via elevator (hoisting/stair carry).
- Unpacking Material and Debris: Unpacking material and debris remain the property of the Company. If the Customer retains unpacking material for local shifting, an additional charge of Rs. 75 per carton will apply. Extra transport charges for material pickup at a later date within Pune will be a minimum of Rs. 1500.
- Insurance Coverage: Insurance does not cover:
- Loss or damage from government, customs, or official confiscation.
- Loss or damage to goods packed by the owner, as well as jewelry, cash, documents, plants, gas cylinders, alcoholic beverages, contraband, or prohibited items.
- Internal damages, unless there is evidence of external physical damage.
- Coverage for electrical or mechanical malfunctions (excluding automobiles), available with a 3% premium.
- Wooden Crate Packing services are available at an additional cost.
- Liability for Damages: The Company will not be liable for damage to Goods or Fixtures unless given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the damage. Claims must be made in writing and will be processed through the third-party insurance agent, not the Company.
- Indemnity: The Customer agrees not to make claims against any servant or agent of the Company and to indemnify the Company for any consequences of such claims.
- Payment Terms: Payment must be made by cheque or credit card before packing or dispatch, including any applicable card fees. Special credit arrangements may be made under specific terms. If payment is not cleared before delivery, the Company reserves the right to withhold delivery until full payment is received.
- Applicable Law: The work carried out under this quotation will be governed by the Indian Contract Act of 1872.
- Exclusions: Multiple pick-ups and deliveries are not included unless specified. Customers should insure goods during transit; in the absence of insurance, the Customer is considered to have self-insured the goods.
